Reviews from Previous 2012
The 2010 vintage heralds additional weight and richness, yet none of the honesty and appeal (a hallmark of Revensworth sangiovese) has been sacrificed in the guest for greater depth. Classic spiced cherries, bright acid and lithe tannins here - with an added wrap of flesh and supple fruit. Very food-friendly. Drinking: Now Rating:93 Nick Stock The Good Wine Guide
A delightful early-drinking sangiovese with just a hint of polish. Slightly pungent, meaty and reductive, it's spicy and earthy aromas of redcurrants, blackberries and cranberries are backed by hints of leather and tomato stalk. Medium in weight, it's long, fine and varietally correct, with a vibrant presence of cherries, berries, tomato and plum cushioned by a fine, sand papery undercarriage. It finishes with a savoury aspect and fresh acids. Rating:90 Jeremy Oliver
Light, clear crimson-purple; suffused with red and black cherry fruit, sage and spice; the tannins nine months prior to release in late ’11 are prominent, but should be in balance by then, and will sustain the wine for a long journey. Rating:92Drink By:2018 Alcohol:14% James Halliday
