Hemera Estate The Billy Barossa Valley Grenache 2014
Wild cherries, raspberry and rose petal aromas waft from the glass. The minimal oak treatment adds a gentle spice to the cherry, rhubarb and strawberry palate that has a slight white pepper complexity.
A lifted nose of dark berried fruit, forest undergrowth, oak and sweet spice. The palate begins with a burst of supple red berry and sweet cherry flavours balanced by bright acidity and nicely textured tannins.
Les Courtilles Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu 2016
“Well packaged. Impeccably well made. Organically grown. A blend of 50%syrah/shiraz with 50% grenache. Matured in two and three year old French oak. I would call it bang on the money but it’s better than that. Polish, flavour, tannin, length – everything is in excellent order" Campbell Mattinson, www.winefront.com.au
This features superb richness with juicy flavours of plums, dark raspberries, fresh blueberries and liquorice over infusions of incense, vanilla and spicy fennel. Fleshy mouthfeel and velvety tannins finishing with good freshness.
